Interactive Enterprise integrates Conexon™ with WinCable from GLDS
(Carlsbad, CA – April 2005) – Great Lakes Data Systems, Inc. (GLDS) today announced that Interactive Enterprise has agreed to integrate their Conexon™ service provisioning platform with GLDS' leading PC-based subscriber management and billing system, WinCable® .
A GLDS Preferred Solution Provider, Interactive Enterprise will use GLDS’ WinProv API to facilitate the integration. Designed to provide advanced service management, the WinProv API enable activation of advanced services via third-party IP Service Provisioning platforms. The WinProv API passes vital subscriber and service-related data to the provisioning system, which uses it to configure all elements involved in the delivery of service to the end subscriber. The result is single-entry provisioning — directly from the billing system.
The combined solution will allow operators to manage services efficiently, and introduce new services more quickly. Conexon’s ability to map subscribers to services leverages the WinProv API to ensure end-to-end service activation integrity.
Conexon™ is a robust, scalable software platform that supports multiple upstream and downstream interfaces via pre-configured adapters. It is designed to bring existing discrete office systems together to form an integrated and future-proof solution. Serving as the advanced service delivery engine, Conexon™ will interpret a service code sent by WinCable®, determine which elements are involved in the delivery of service, then affect the changes necessary to enable or disable the service.
Future integration will extend the WinCable® subscriber self-subscription capabilities to include IP based appliances like Cable Modems and Media Terminal Adaptors.
