CMA Chooses GLDS
Cable Management Associates (CMA) selects WinCable from GLDS
(Carlsbad, CA – April 2005) – Great Lakes Data Systems, Inc. (GLDS) today announced that Cable Management Associates (CMA) has successfully implemented WinCable® and SuperController ® from GLDS to provide billing, subscriber management, and advanced provisioning services for all 17 of its markets, in four states.
“CMA has been able to centralize the billing system, reduce labor costs, and streamline operations with WinCable®,” according to Dave Beasley, CMA’s V.P. of Marketing. “GLDS offered a much better total solution, for the cost, than any other alternatives.”
Seventeen separate billing systems were converted into a single consolidated call center in three planned stages. Users at all seventeen locations can now provide local service, including payment posting, reporting, and addressable control. Management has access to consolidated billing, financial, and reporting functions at the corporate level.
“CMA executives were surprised at how smoothly the conversions went,” GLDS’ Alexis Langerak remarked. “They said they were expecting total chaos — but we promised them a ‘painless data conversion’ — and we delivered, on schedule.”
Next generation software, such as WinCable®, is designed with CSR’s as well as management in mind. “One of our key goals was to make life easier for our front-line CSR’s. We gave them considerable input into the process, and they really gravitated toward the GLDS interface and user tools,” Beasley added. “WinCable® is interfaced to our CPA collections module, which was important. We’ve also been able to improve cash processing and work order scheduling efficiency by converting to WinCable®.”
“Part of CMA’s ‘run the business better’ strategy will probably include additional products from GLDS — including integrated VoIP and web-enabled customer self care modules. Both are really nice enhancements,” CMA’s Beasley added. “Overall, we’re very happy with the WinCable® software, the data conversion, and the future growth options GLDS represents,” he concluded. “We’re already out of the ’conversion phase’ and into the ’execution phase’. |
