GLDS Marks 25th VoIP Installation
(Carlsbad, CA – November, 2005) Great Lakes Data Systems is pleased to announce it has launched Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) billing for its 25th broadband operator, as part of an ongoing commitment to meet the evolving service requirements of its growing customer base.
An enhancement to WinCable, America’s leading PC-based billing platform for broadband, WinVoIP provides operators with the tools necessary to effectively bill for both subscription and usage-based VoIP services.
“WinVoIP has proven flexible enough to meet the needs of virtually any of our customers.” said Alonzo Rosado, GLDS President and CEO. “In addition, we've seen a great response from the marketplace, as more than a half-dozen VoIP Service Providers have written to the GLDS specification.” Rosado added.
WinVoIP enables the import, management and aggregation of pre-rated, pre-taxed call detail records for consolidated multi-service billing. At the end of each billing cycle, WinCable summarizes charges associated with CDRs and bills VoIP usage along with subscription voice services, such as service plan or virtual numbers. WinVoIP offers reporting and record maintenance capabilities to allow the CSR to view call detail, and management to report on it.
GLDS has also integrated WinVoIP data with its Web-based Customer Self Care Portal, CableAnytime. The integration provides customers with web-based access to call detail records, effectively reducing CSR workload related to VoIP billing questions. Placing summarized charges on the bill saves paper, and reduces bill printing and postage costs.
WinVoIP is available to all WinCable users as an additionally licensed module. When deployed with a preferred VoIP partner, WinVoIP can be configured and launched in as little as one day, following successful hardware installation and testing. |
